From the Get Healthy course of June 18 & 19th, 2005.

Dear Dee:

Thank you so much for the wholistic learning you provided during Genesis Natural Health's June weekend Get Healthy Course.  I really valued the education about the anatomy, physiology, and the affects of stress, caffeine, biochemicals, chemicals/toxins, processed foods, refined sugar, salts, dairy, dairy products, a diet high in cooked foods, and the lack of sleep, on the body.  Conversely, I appreciated knowing the effects of raw food such as organic fruits and vegetables, natural sugars, natural fats, fibre, probiotics and water.  Even though I have consumed organic fruits and vegetables for more than 10 years, you held my attention for the full two days.  I particularly appreciated the array of healthy meals, desserts, snacks, natural drinks, and the reverse osmosis /distilled water provided for breakfast and lunch.  To walk away with the recipes, has made it easier to implement the learning.  The handouts and course material make excellent reference information and a foundation for further research and reading.

When the course ended on the Sunday, I went shopping the next day to purchase organic fruits and vegetables, whole grains, nuts, pumpkin seeds, raw unpasteurized honey, quinoa, millet, Celtic sea salt, ground flax seed, and organic yeast free spelt bread.  Having soaked my almonds overnight, the next morning I made almond milk, for muesli style breakfast cereal.  The quinoa with a variety of vegetables served as my lunch.  With the abundant energy from these two meals, I needed no dinner and was able to row 8 km without difficulty that same day.

Wow, for the first time in years, I am suffering from no gas or bloating and had energy through to late evening (10:30 p.m.) when I arrived home after the row.  You will recall when I first met you in September 2004, and had a health assessment, you found my entire colon to be packed with undigested food even though I was experiencing one bowel movement per day.  Two days after your course, my complexion is clearing of the ever present pimples and blemishes.  Collegues at work, on the Monday after your session, could see a big difference in my complexion and mood.  "You look great", one person remarked.

Attending the Get Healthy Course has turned my life around for the better.  I am on my way back up health hill.

Eating raw is the way to go.  Consuming natural juices, drinking 8 glasses of 'good' water a day, reducing the toxic load in the body from what we eat, put on our skin, and what we wear, and eating carbohydrates and proteins separately and at the right time of day, are but a few gems you share to help someone like me get back to maximum health.

Having had more than  3 bowel movements today, I must add less ground flax seed to my cereal mix.  Varying the portions until the balance suits my body.  I would come back to another session without hesitation and will spread the word about the value of attending a Get Healthy course to all my friends.  I think it is imperative that everyone should get a colonic at least quarterly, and attend the Get Healthy course.

Keep spreading the good word and I cannot thank you and your team at Genesis Natural Health enough for teaching me how to gain optimum health.

P.S. May I suggest grating the ginger root in water and bringing the water to a boil, rather than slicing the ginger, for a truly nutritious ginger tea.
